Exactly What You Need for 2014

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:19)

Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by the challenges and obstacles we face. But, we have to remember that God equips for every season of life. God will not allow you to face Goliath, He will not allow a major challenge and then just give you a little favor, a little strength, a little wisdom. No, God equips you with exactly what you need to overcome every obstacle. What you have in your hand may not seem like much, but remember, David had victory with only five small stones!
Know today that you have been empowered to accomplish every dream that God has placed in your heart. Oftentimes, the reason you have a huge obstacle is because you have a huge future. You may be facing a big challenge, but you’re a big person serving a big God. Know that no matter what you face, God will meet your needs. You are equipped, you are empowered, and you are headed toward victory in every area of your life!

Father, thank You for meeting my needs according to Your riches in glory. I shake off heaviness today. I shake off worry and doubt, and I put on a garment of praise knowing that You are working things out for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Believe and Enter Rest

God desires for you to live in peace and rest no matter what is happening around you. When you believe God, you enter into His perfect rest. But if you are controlled by your circumstances, if you’re up when things are up and down when things don’t go your way, then life is going to be a roller coaster. God’s plan is for you to be stable, consistent, not moved by any of these things.
Anytime you face adversity or hit a tough time, one of the best things you can do is simply stay calm and keep your peace. When you’re in peace, that’s a position of power. You’re saying with your actions, “God, I trust You. I know You are still on the throne. This may be difficult, but I know You are fighting my battles.” That’s what faith is — believing that God is who He says He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. When you believe God, you enter into rest and walk in peace and joy no matter what is happening around you.

Father, thank You for peace and rest as I put my trust in You. Today I declare that You are my King. I declare that You are faithful. I declare that my faith and trust is in You, knowing that You have a good plan in store for my future in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Trust in God's Plan For Your Life

“...the word of our God will stand forever.”
(Isaiah 40:8, ESV)

Sometimes we can be more aware of what other people think than we are of what God thinks. But people don’t determine your destiny. People can’t stop God’s plan for your life. People may not approve you. Don’t worry about it. God approves you. God called you; people didn’t call you. People don’t equip you; God equips you. People don’t anoint you; God anoints you. When you come to the end of your life, you don’t have to answer to people; you’ll answer to Almighty God.
Don’t let what some person says or does make you feel less than or unqualified. You’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. You are lacking nothing for the season that you’re in right now. What you have in your hand is what you need. When you dedicate it to God and do what He tells you, He’ll bless and multiply what you have in your hand and use it to take you further than you ever dreamed!

Father, right now, I renounce the negative voices that have come against me and against Your Word. I choose to trust You. I choose to believe You. I choose to forgive others and believe Your Word which stands forever in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good Reasons Why You Should Use a Christian Dating Service

If you have been wondering if an online Christian dating service would be useful to you, you
probably have a number of questions in your mind. It seems that Christian online dating services
are everywhere. Just type "Christian dating" into Google and hundreds of websites will describe
how to approach, date and meet people. Long-standing dating websites, have ironed out the wrinkles of online dating to provide a safe way to connect with Christian singles.

Today's top Christian dating websites support the community of single Christians looking for a life partner.  The owners of these websites take their purpose seriously and have developed a process
to identify and communicate your wants, desires, and dislikes. What is unique about using online
technology is that you can obtain complete and detailed information about a date, much more
quickly than your aunt or church choir director could ever do.
The tools are amazing. Top Christian singles dating sites offer a free personality profile, which is
interesting and informative. You answer a series of questions about your dreams, goals,
relationship expectations, what you are willing to give to a relationship, your hobbies, interests,
background, education and more. Every member of that dating community does the same thing.
So with a complete profile, you have a reliable method to search and match other people who are
"highly compatible" with you. That provides a solid basis for a relationship with more chances of
success than if you had no clue about the person you just met. Of course, you can't experience
everything by instant messaging or through e-mail. You still need to meet in person and learn if
there is a natural chemistry factor between the two of you.
The limitation of a Christian online dating website is that you have to work hard early to get a
proper start. As you fill out a personality profile, you need to really reflect on your answers and be
honest about who you are. As you begin an online relationship, you develop matches and start
communicating with them. That communication will be somewhat limited. Here are five online
dating tips to help use the personality profile match more effectively.
Set your boundaries and be firm about them. Work with the matches for Christian singles that are
most appropriate for you. As long as you are true to yourself, you don't need to chase anyone.
You can say "no" to someone who is outside your boundaries.
Explore a geographic area that is big enough to get plenty of matches. Near a large city with many
suburbs, you can narrow your range dramatically. If you live in a small, rural community however,
you will probably need to enlarge the scope of your search.
Be clear about which Christian denominations you will accept. For example, if you are a Lutheran
man and you want only to meet other single Lutheran women, set your match for Lutheran. If you
are a Catholic woman and you're open to meeting a Catholic, Baptist or Presbyterian man, mark
that down.

Think about the ages of the people you would like to meet and date. You can always adjust the
age range up or down to get additional matches. Most sites match you with people whose age
ranges overlap with yours. If you are a single Christian woman under 30, think what life would be
like in 20 years if you date and marry a 55 year old man.
Lastly, persist and be patient. Love does not occur immediately - online or at home. Explore the
possibilities of those people who match you. Learn as much as you can about them. Your
diligence will pay off when you find a perfect match through a Christian dating service.

Who God Rewards

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
(Hebrews 11:6, NIV)

When God is first place in your life, and you make pleasing Him is your highest priority, then you can fully expect to live a blessed, fulfilled life! In today’s verse, notice who God rewards. It’s not people who half-heartedly seek Him. It doesn’t say “people who only think about Him when they’re having a problem” or “people who will only come to church when something special is going on.” No, God rewards people who earnestly seek after Him. That means we are determined. We get up every morning and thank Him for His goodness. We go through the day meditating on His promises. We give Him praise in the good times and the tough times. We are constantly stretching, growing, learning and striving to know Him better.
Today, remember, when you diligently seek God, He promises that a reward is coming. He promises He will give you strength, wisdom, favor, good breaks, promotion, healing and restoration. When you seek Him with your whole heart, you will find Him, and you won’t be able to outrun His goodness and blessing!

Father, I desire to please You in everything I do. I declare that You are good and faithful. I trust You with my whole heart and believe that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You. I bless You and honor You today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
