Christian Dating - Where Do I Find a Christian Partner?

If you're interested in finding a Christian partner, it really isn't that hard to do. You may have thought only of the usual ways you might meet a single partner or soul mate but there may be a few ways you might not have thought of too. Christian dating is easy when you know how.
Assuming that you're regularly going to church and know the single people who belong to your church, they aren't the only fish in the sea.

One of the first things to do is to visit a different church. You may not want to go to a church that meets at the same time that you usually go, so go at a different time. Try evenings and an alternate weekend day for a change. You'll find a wealth of new singles, especially if you attend a church with a larger congregation. Many larger churches have singles groups and you can find out if they do and when they meet and plan a visit.

If you live in a larger city, you're going to find it a lot easier to meet a potential Christian partner. Talk to other Christians who may know of good single Christians they could introduce you to. On the other hand, you could all attend a Christian dinner or meeting together. Be aware of Christian  conferences that you can attend. Your church may have information about conferences, workshops and regional retreats and there may be more that are not mentioned that you could find through other Christian churches. Call around to the larger churches and see if they know of any large gatherings. There will be many single Christians there. Remember these single men and women are also looking for a Christian partner or soul mate.

Of course, there are many paid membership and free Christian dating services on the Internet. They're easy to find and there may be members there that live near you. Try to pick one of the larger Christian dating services because there will be more of a chance that someone will live closer to you. Finding someone locally will make it easier to date and get together. Be careful not to commit a lot of money to your search. Finding a Christian husband shouldn't have to cost much, if anything. Some of the better dating services may have small fees and it may be worth it. Take a free trial to see if it works for you.

There are many places to look for and find a potential Christian partner. If you make it a point to get into new situations as much as possible, you'll find a treasure trove of eligible single Christians.  So look for new situations. Look at Christian conferences, workshops, retreats, meetings and anywhere Christians gather. Try new large churches. Try introductions by Christian friends. Try free  membership trials or free Christian dating services. If you keep looking and making an effort, you will meet someone special and no longer wonder where can I find a Christian partner? You'll
have done it!

The Resurrection of Christ Jesus

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
(1 Corinthians 15:3–4, NIV)

As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ this Easter season, think about when they crucified Jesus. On that Friday, it was the darkest, most painful, discouraging day of His life. In fact, it was so bad that He sweat drops of blood earlier. It looked as if His enemies had gotten the best of Him. But, God had other plans. They put Him in the grave on Friday, celebrating their victory, but Sunday morning was a different story. The grave could not hold Him. Death couldn’t contain Him! The forces of darkness couldn’t stop Him! On the third day, He came out of the grave and said, “I was dead, but now I am alive forevermore!”
One principle that the resurrection teaches us is that God will always finish what He started. No matter how dark it looks, no matter how long it’s been, no matter how many people are trying to push you down, if you will stay in faith, God will always take you from Friday to Sunday. He will always complete what He started in you!

Father God, thank You for completing what You started in my life. I trust that no matter how dark things may seem, You are my shining light of hope. I thank You for working behind the scenes to carry me through to the place of victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Ten Precautions For Your First Christian Dating Online Experience

You finally have found your Mr. or Ms. Right through the Christian Dating agency online and are all set to meet him or her face to face. Here are ten precautions that you should take while getting ready for your first date and while going out on the first date with your potential Christian soulmate.

Step 1: When you are setting up the place for your first date (and maybe even the first couple) pick a place that is more public than private. A nice restaurant or busy coffee house is always a good choice for a first date. A crowded club is not a good first date choice because you won't be able to talk to each other. Meeting at either of your homes is not a good idea because it causes an unsafe situation. In addition, in case the date goes bad it is not a good idea to be at a private place like your home or their home. Make sure that both of you agree to the date location. The first couple of dates are about establishing trust and both of you need to be comfortable with the date locations for that to happen.

Step 2: Make sure that you both agree to the time and date. If one person is forcing a time and/or day on the other person then it is a sign of control and not mutual respect. Even in Christian dating control is a bad thing, every relationship should be built on mutual respect and trust.

Step 3: Dress for the date and be aware of what your clothes say about you. Some people may think that sex is expected on a first date but you should dress for the opposite. Your mindset about the date should be that you are getting to meet this person who may be the one for you. It is natural to want to look your best but don't let your nerves get the best of you.

Step 4: Even though you have talked to your date through email and online, you still need to be careful on the first date. Know what personal information you want to revel, if any, before you meet your date and stick with it. Don't assume that this person is the right one for you just because you met on a Christian dating agency. Make sure you meet a few times before you disclose your address or home phone number. Remember, people can look up your home phone number online and find your home address. Keep your own safety in mind during your first date.

Step 5: It is a good idea to talk about your ideas on sex before your first date. This isn't always a pleasant conversation and many dating Christians prefer to not discuss sex. In today's day and age there are a lot of different things that happen when people don't discuss sex first. Everyone has a different idea and they may believe that they know what the other person is thinking. It is when people start assuming that other people get hurt. Have the conversation, no matter how unpleasant, at the beginning of the relationship so that you are both on the same page. If you do decide to engage in sex within the first few dates please be careful. Diseases are spread easily, even when protection is used.
Step 6: If you know or even suspect, on your first date, that your online Christian date isn't the one then let them off firmly but nicely. Don't string along someone if you are not comfortable with them or you know that they are not the one. Some people may think that being a Christian is about being nice and not always being honest. It can cause problems and hard feelings if you are not honest from the beginning. If the person is not the one, you need to let them go so that you both can move on to find your soul mates.

Step 7: Do not talk yourself into a relationship just because you have been single for a long time. There are many other people on the Christian dating service from which you can choose. If you are in a relationship just because you don't want to be single then you are missing the chance to find your  Christian soul mate. Agree to be friends and then move on in your search for your soul mate.

Step 8: Set a standard in your mind for the person who is your soul mate and expect no less. You deserve the best person for you and they are out there. Don't settle just because they have one attribute that you like or because they are of the same faith as you. Even if you have met a lot of choices in the Christian dating agency, your soul mate may just not be on the site yet. Give yourself time and remember that you deserve the one who is out there for you.

Step 9: If the date doesn't work out, don't let yourself fall into a depression. It is not the end of the world even if it feels like it. There are so many people in the world that sometimes it takes a little time to find your soul mate. If you have only found one person in your Christian dating agency to meet and it didn't work out, you still have many other choices. If you have had many dates that didn't work out, don't automatically believe that it is your fault. Have faith that God has someone for you and that He has a reason for you to meet so many people that are wrong for you. So pick yourself up and get back online to start a new search for your Christian soulmate.

Step 10: Above all be safe on your date and practice good common sense. Don't make any decisions that you are not comfortable with no matter how convincing a case your date presents. Trust that God will guide you, but remember you are His hands and feet so you need to do your part.

My Cup Runneth Over

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
(Psalm 23:5 NIV)

God’s dream for your life is that you would be blessed in such a way that you could be a blessing to others. David said, “My cup runs over.” God is an overflow God. But here’s the key: you can’t go around thinking thoughts of lack, not enough, or struggle and expect to have abundance. If you’ve been under pressure for a long time and have difficulty making ends meet, it’s easy to develop a limited mindset. “I’ll never get out of this neighborhood.” Or, “I’ll never have enough to send my kids to college.” No, that may be where you are now, but that’s not where you have to stay. God is called El Shaddai, the God of More than Enough! Not the God of Barely Enough. Not the God of Just Help Me Make it Through. No, He’s the God of Overflow!
Today, no matter what you may be experiencing, stir yourself up in faith and declare who God is in your life. Declare that He is well able; declare that He is more than enough! Declare that your cup runs over with the blessing and victory He has prepared for you!

Father, thank You for Your grace, favor and mercy to me. I know that You are preparing a place of blessing for me. I know that my cup runs over, and as I press into You, I will walk in Your blessing in Jesus’ name. Amen
